The kitchen and bath vanities in this West Ashley home were installed in the late 1980s. In addition to showing their age in terms of wear, the pickled and varnished finish began to look dated in context to the upgrades in appliances and fixtures. The old finish was stripped and thoroughly sanded. A deep mahogany stain was selected with 4 coats of acrylic polyurethane as a topcoat.
