Changes were needed at this home in the Hibben neighborhood in Mt, Pleasant. The cabinets were lacquered maple and gave the kitchen a dark and closed in feel. To eliminate this effect a non-yellowing low v.o.c. acrylic enamel was chosen in a warm neutral off white. The results are a clean, bright, and inviting space with a tough, long wearing finish that will last many years.
As the home has an open floor plan, the call was made to paint the interior doors and give definition to the generous spaces. The doors were numbered, removed, and carefully shipped to our Mt. Pleasant spray booth. After a thorough sanding, a bonding primer was applied to ensure lasting adhesion and durability. Two coats of premium acrylic deep base satin enamel was applied by spray. The resulting finish is glass smooth with an oil-like hardness that will stand up to many years of use without becoming brittle with age.
