The olive colored, glazed and distressed cabinets in this beautiful Ion home made the kitchen feel dark and depressing. The new homeowners liked the layout and function, so spending thousands on new cabinets seemed an unnecessary expense. And they were correct! The existing finish was skimmed with a surfacing compound to fill in the distress marks, primed, and three coats of acrylic lacquer were applied by spray. The results? A cabinet shop grade, durable, professional finish - and a bright new inviting kitchen!
