Those of us who have purchased older homes did so because we appreciate the vintage character of the scale and spaces that they offer. However, sometimes this can be a challenge. This charming brick home in Byrnes Down features a rather small kitchen that previously felt dark and cramped. We refinished the natural maple cabinets with a tough, durable acrylic coating in Ben Moore Chantilly Lace. The wood floor was replaced with grey slate, white ceramic subway tile installed on the walls, and gorgeous new light grey marble countertops complete the project. The results are a bright, light filled, and inviting new kitchen.
