A beautiful new knotty pine cabinet was created for a vintage Hollywood farmhouse. A stain color was selected to mirror the colors in the antique floor and to complement the home owner's furniture collection. A gel stain was hand applied, and four coats of acrylic polyurethane were applied by spray. All of the finishing activities were accomplished inside a floor to ceiling dust barrier, which protected the nearby furnishings and created minimal disruption of the home. The resulting finish is hard, durable, and will not yellow with age.
